Omni-Working: work effectively in all ways, from all places. Co-creating your flexible and distributed working strategy

About us

🌐 The landscape of modern work continues to evolve, and how we work needs to evolve with it. 🌐 Our vision – modern workplaces where everyone can belong, contribute and thrive, irrespective of where they do their work. 🌐 Our goal – to guide and support leaders as they reimagine how work is done in their organisation. Omni-Working®️ is a unique approach providing advice and pragmatic guidance for senior leaders to create a flexible and distributed working strategy. ✅ Transcend hybrid working to create high performance flexibility ✅ Learn how to come together with intention and purpose, not prescription. ✅ Solve the modern work dilemma your organisation is facing. ✅ Evolve new models of work through co-creation and participation ✅ Create the blend of Omni-Working that meets the needs of your organisation. ✅ Develop 'flex-able' leaders and managers The office has shifted from being 'the' place to work to being 'a' place to work. There isn’t one ‘right’ answer as to how many days people should work in the office, from home, or from another location as each business has different needs. There are many right answers, but not one right answer that fits all situations. We can help you find the right answer for your organisation. The Omni-Working Framework™️ - seven key elements that each contribute to the way in which people: ❇️ Connect and relate ❇️ Collaborate and communicate ❇️ Decide where and how work gets done ❇️ Contribute and deliver results ❇️ Feel as if they belong We can help you: ❇️ REVIEW your progress and performance with the Omni-Working Profile ❇️ REFRESH your individual and team Omni-WOW ❇️ REIMAGINE how work gets done Get in touch to find out more: gwen@omni-working.com

What was your reason for writing Omni-Working? We recently asked this question of our founder and author Gwen Stirling-Wilkie. Here's her response. When people ask me that question I share these two reasons why I felt compelled to write this book last summer. 1. To shift the conversation from ‘where’ people work, to HOW people work. I actively encourage leaders to move away from asking themselves How do we get more people into the office? Instead, ask everyone this question: How could we perform at our best irrespective of where we work? 2. To provide a practical guide for leaders and managers to create high performance flexibility in their teams. This can be done at an individual, team, or organisational level. If you’re struggling to make ‘hybrid’ work for your organisation or team, then take a look at my book. Available on Amazon, or if you prefer, from me direct.

Struggling to attract and hold on to the talent you need? Take a look at your flexible working policy compared to that of your competitors. It is an increasingly important factor in recruitment, retention, and employee engagement. How we work is more important than where we work. Do you have an operating model that places high-performance flexibility at the heart? #flexibleworking #omniworking #futureofwork  #hybridworking https://lnkd.in/d5e8zRyr

How does your organisation view flexible working? The answer matters, as I share in the video clip below. It’s the cornerstone of the modern workplace, instrumental in attracting and retaining good talent, and a multiplier of employee engagement. The clip is taken from a recent podcast I recorded with PJ Stevens. The link for the full podcast is in the comments below. https://lnkd.in/dqFRFxe9

These are all important shifts to be addressed, and all systemically connected. The findings in this report match what we have seen in other research and reflect deeper underlying trends of eroding levels of trust and declining employee engagement. Our Omni-Working Framework encourages leaders to consider the interconnected nature of human-centric leadership behaviour, freedom and autonomy for teams, together with essential organisational enablers in order to generate high-performance flexibility in a modern workplace. Enabling individuals and teams to switch seamlessly between different working locations. Rebuilding trust is central to successfully navigating these 10 shifts, along with revisiting deeply held beliefs and assumptions about what people need in order to feel a sense of belonging and feel supported to do their best work. The modern workplace is no longer fixed to a single office location, and will continue to adapt and change with the growth of automation and generative AI. Developing leaders who are able to flex and adapt to the changing context, who can experiment and learn fast, and lead with compassion for themselves and others will be a key success criteria for high performing organisations.

In a survey of 2,500 business leaders around the world, only half said their organizations are prepared for the future. How can leaders reorient their organizations to chart a path through change and seize new growth opportunities? The State of Organizations report dives into the 10 most important shifts businesses are grappling with—and what leaders and their teams can do about them. Explore them below and more in depth here: https://mck.co/StateOfOrgs #StateOfOrganizations #FutureOfWork #Talent
