Meet chij shrestha, Our Patrol Officer “I've been with One Crown Place for three years, working closely with Security Manager Andrew Gough from CIS Security Limited My day-to-day includes patrolling the premises, reporting any issues to the control team, and covering reception and the loading bay during breaks, ensuring that One Crown Place remains secure. This is my first security job in the UK after serving in the Nepalese Army, and the team here has made the transition smooth. My military background has helped me adapt to my role, and the ongoing support from my colleagues has helped me grow quickly at One Crown Place. In the future, I am eager to continue growing within my role. I'm focused on developing my skills to eventually step into a supervisory role. I'm currently learning various responsibilities, from logistics to control room operations, and gaining confidence in my ability to handle whatever comes my way. One of the things I appreciate most about working here is the cultural diversity of our team and our shared commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Every building has a story. The world-renowned architectural team at KPF invited artist Stig Evans to bring his creative vision to One Crown Place facade, resulting in an exciting exploration of colour and form. “I drew inspiration from John Constable’s cloud studies, creating a colour palette that mirrors the ever-changing British sky. My goal was to capture the subtle variations of blues and greys seen in Constable’s work, ensuring they harmonise with the building’s design and its natural surroundings. I’m thrilled with how One Crown Place has turned out and hope it inspires future projects to embrace the fusion of art and architecture,” shares Stig Evans. KPF’s architects played a pivotal role in shaping One Crown Place as a new mixed-use destination on the edge of The City—a vision brought to life by MTD Group. The triangular shape of the residential towers was carefully studied using KPF’s bespoke urban analysis scripts, designed to create slender proportions from key city views, minimise local impact, and optimise residential units with breathtaking views of iconic London landmarks like the London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Battersea Power Station, and more.
