💜 Mother’s Day: The Importance of Childcare for Single Parents 💜 Today, we celebrate the resilience and dedication of mothers everywhere, especially single mothers who juggle being both the primary caregiver and breadwinner. A huge thank you to the National Advisory Council for Women and Girls for the opportunity to share Ana’s story and highlight the vital work of our Childcare Connector Service at OPFS. Ana’s experience is one many single parents face: the struggle to secure affordable, reliable childcare to pursue employment. Despite her determination to return to work, long waiting lists and financial barriers made it nearly impossible. With OPFS’s support, she navigated these challenges and found a childcare solution that allowed her to start her job with peace of mind. 👉 Childcare is not just a personal issue—it’s an economic and social necessity.
