Thank you to everyone who took part in our Diversity and Inclusion poll last week! We're excited to share the results and continue the conversation around building inclusive workplaces. A resounding 79% of participants believe that bias-free hiring processes are the most critical factor in fostering Diversity & Inclusion. This highlights the importance of fair and equitable recruitment practices that allow talent to shine based solely on merit. 14% of respondents emphasized the value of targeted outreach programs, stressing the need to proactively engage with underrepresented groups and expand the talent pool. Meanwhile, 7% pointed to internal diversity initiatives, recognizing the importance of nurturing an inclusive culture through ongoing education and support within organizations. The feedback from this poll reinforces that there are many facets to achieving a truly diverse and inclusive workplace, and each plays an essential role. Let's continue to work together to create environments where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. #PollResults #OperamMS #Diversity #Inclusion

As the Local Content Conference and Exhibition commences today in Takoradi, Ghana, we are proudly reflecting on a significant achievement. In September 2023, Tullow Oil celebrated the commissioning of 'First Oil' at the Jubilee South East Area. This momentous occasion was honoured by the presence of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana, alongside key partners Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Kosmos Energy, PetroSA, and GNPC Explorco. It marked a major advancement for Ghana’s energy sector and underscored the nation’s progress toward energy prosperity. Months of meticulous planning and collaboration culminated in a seamless event, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Tullow and Operam teams. The ceremonial turning of the valve by the President was not just symbolic of progress but also highlighted the importance of government support in Tullow’s continued success. We would like to especially recognize our colleague, Kwame Ampong, who led this project as Operam's Project Manager. Kwame played a pivotal role in coordinating efforts across departments to ensure flawless execution. His outstanding contribution was highlighted by Kwame Afreh MBA, SHRM Tullow’s HR Manager, Ghana. He said “Allow me to take this opportunity to single out Kwame Ampong to recognise him for his exemplary dedication, impeccable organisational skills and for going over and beyond expectations to support the JSE celebration project. Back in June, I remember reaching out to him with a simple ask - spend a few hours each week with the project team acting in a PMO capacity and at a minimum being an extra pair of hands where required. This obviously was a significant understatement, looking at the sheer amount of work it has taken to get things into a full circle. Even before the event last week, I had received a number of unsolicited and brilliant feedback regarding his exceptional delivery. The unexpected turn of events and the change in date as per plan, no doubt threw a spanner in the works but you clearly owned it and most importantly kept your day job in balance.” #celebration #Operamms #collaboration #Ghana #teamwork #TullowOil

We had an incredibly productive process review day in Chelmsford with Simon Woodhouse Les Toop Carmel Bardsley and Clare Miles focusing on refining and strengthening our recruitment operations. This session provided us with the opportunity to map out and assess our current processes, conduct a thorough gap analysis, and rigorously test our operational resilience. These steps are vital to maintaining successful and sustainable partnerships. Continuous improvement is at the core of what we do. It ensures that we stay ahead of global market trends, remain compliant with local legislation, and consistently provide invaluable support to our clients and candidates. By doing so, we’re not just keeping pace but driving forward with a commitment to be the very best in the industry. #ContinuousImprovement #OperationalExcellence #Resilience #Recruitment #Partnership #OperamMS
