Sat System Refurbishment Specialists – Chambers Once the systems arrived in Burntisland the Chambers were removed from their containers and placed in the workshop to allow the process of refurbishment of all pipework and systems for placing into our client's new structure. The refurbishment started with the door facings being repaired and machined back along with a full NDT package witnessed by Lloyds Classification Society. All electrical penetrators were replaced along with all the systems viewports as well as modernisation and replacement of pipework both internal and external to the chambers. Updated chamber monitoring (CCTV and Environmental) was installed in addition to a Diver Management System (DMS) supplied by SAT Systems Once this major part of the refurbishment had taken place the chambers were surveyed for thermal and mechanical protection jackets including the SPHL trunking, this was complete in situ while the chambers were in their final position within the structure. Orca supplied a removable system that would aid in future inspection and maintenance activities of the system. Orca HQ Office Expansion! Our New Aberdeen Office expansion has seen a return of an Orca favourite , The wallpaper has made a return after nearly 6 years. Unit 12 will provide a great new office area and clean workshop to aid in our expansion for 2024.

On behalf of Mike Masson, Callum Masson and Greig Masson and all of us at Orca Oceanic Systems Ltd we would just like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our suppliers / friends who very generously donated to the Maggie's Aberdeen Orange Bucket. We managed to raise over £1,000 in gift vouchers which completely blew us away as well as many wonderful gifts from a 40” Smart TV to an X-Box. As many of you may or may not know Maggie's Aberdeen was a charity very close to Jill’s heart and this came at the right time for us to give back.    We would like to thank Ashford Instrumentation Ltd, Archer Knight (Holdings) Limited, NERO Pipeline Connections Ltd, JFD Global, Maclean , Edmundson Electrical (Aaliyah), LHR Marine Ltd. Orca lost a founding member on Saturday 13th of April. Jill Masson passed away after a short illness, peacefully at Arduthie Hospital Stonehaven.  Jill’s funeral will be held 11:30 Next Thursday (25th April) Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium, Crathes, Banchory. 

Busy morning and afternoon finishing the Orca stand for the upcoming Global Underwater Hub subsea expo. Just waiting on the finishing touches and one last run from the service centre and we are good to go. Stand 7 for everyone visiting the show over the next few days.
