A little over a week ago a team of 8 students from the University of Oxford and members of Oxford Global chaired at OXMUN Shanghai, a 200-people conference hosted in collaboration with Weland International and Shanghai High School International Division, taking place on one of the largest and most historic high school campuses in Shanghai. This was a truly remarkable conference in many ways: it was the first offline OXMUN conference in China since 2019 - one which occurred on the same campus; it was the first time some members of the team has ever been to China, and a student who once attended as a delegate five years ago has even now returned to chair. On behalf of the team at OxfordGlobal, we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made this conference happen - our organising partners from Weland, the student secretariat at SHSID, and the countless volunteers who came to help out. This amazing experience could not have occurred without all of their hard work. And of course, congratulations to all delegates for their hard work and commitment! Despite being the first conference for many of them, they certainly did yourselves proud with the courage, diplomacy, and creativity showcased at the conference. Please stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming events - especially our Home Conference in November. Oxford students are more than welcome to join us as a chair and eventually get a chance to attend international trips of this kind. We look forward to welcoming you in Oxford.
