When we take on a FRAEW project, we handle everything from start to finish. Our process begins with a close collaboration with a team of construction contractors to open the façade, utilising various methods to ensure safe access at height. Each project starts with a consultation and a pre-site survey to determine the most practical and safest approach. We take care of all necessary licenses and permits, and our team ensures that everything is properly restored after inspection, so your buildings are not left with any damage or temporary fixes. Our engineers review all prior design information, fire risk assessments, and fire strategy to deliver a comprehensive, detailed, and risk-proportionate appraisal of the external walls. Under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, it is a legal requirement for high-rise residential buildings in England to have a secure information box (SIB) installed on the premises. The SIB should contain an Emergency Response Pack with annotated floor plans indicating the locations of control measures, risks, and essential information for first responders upon arrival. Today marks the seventh anniversary of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, a somber moment to remember and honour the 72 lives lost in the devastating fire on June 14, 2017. The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 require any new residential buildings over 11 meters or existing residential buildings over 18 meters (high-rise) to have a secure information box (SIB) installed. Premises Information Boxes (PIBs) in high-rise residential buildings are a critical component of fire safety management. By providing essential information to emergency responders, PIBs play a vital role in enhancing the safety and security of building occupants. Building owners and managers must ensure these boxes are properly installed, maintained, and regularly updated to comply with safety regulations and best practices.
