Late October in the Scottish Highlands always guarantees testing conditions. This past weekend riders set out from Corrour Station House on Further Elements, a 700km route pieced together by event creator Camille McMillan. In the end, it was Alex McCormack continuing his remarkable year of racing, as the first rider back to Corrour in just over 38 hours. We’re thrilled to announce that ‘Adra’ has been selected to screen at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity Mountain Film and Book Festival 2024! It’s been nearly a year since the films release, and it means so much to us that it’s still resonating with and finding new audiences around the world. Thanks to the film's Director Emma Crome and the entire team at Coldhouse Collective for all that they have put in to this amazing film. Albion & Pertex. The Mountain Races. 2025. The three self-supported bikepacking races in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, Morocco and Greece are set against the backdrop of some of the world's most breathtaking landscapes. The series has established itself as one of the most inspiring sets of events on the ultra-distance calendar due to the combination of challenging terrain, remote locations and the community that races each year. Albion and Pertex share a vision for what's possible on a bike, and look forward to supporting the series as it continues to inspire cyclists all over the world. Entries for 2025 open soon.

Discarded fishing nets are considered one of the most harmful forms of ocean plastic pollution. When abandoned or lost at sea, they can entangle marine life, harm coral and seabed habitats, and break down into microplastics. Given that there is currently no real, viable alternative to plastic-based fishing nets, the solution must come at the point before old nets reach the ocean. Manuel Sigren, Global Sourcing Manager at Bureo Inc tells us how the company turns discarded fishing nets into recycled NetPlus material, helping protect oceans while empowering small fishing communities. Introducing Pertex NetPlus fabrics. Lightweight high-performance fabrics created from recycled fishing nets. Our partner Bureo Inc works directly with fishing communities across South America, collecting end-of-life fishing nets and recycling them into NetPlus material. We take this material, spin to yarn and weave into Pertex fabrics that match the performance of those made from virgin material. Pertex NetPlus fabrics support cleaner communities and oceans by diverting an existing waste stream, discarded fishing nets, the most harmful form of marine plastic pollution, whilst also reducing the need to extract fossil fuels. Pertex NetPlus fabrics: positive impacts without performance compromise.
