LinkedIn is where business gets done, and it is trusted by professionals everywhere. 84% of B2B marketers say LinkedIn brings the most value to their organisations for building brand awareness, nurturing leads, or driving conversions. If your customers are on LinkedIn, then LinkedIn should be the platform you invest in. But how do you build trust on LinkedIn? We think you need to be as human as possible, and remember that there are humans behind every lead list you create. Give first, without expectation, because reciprocity goes a long way for us humans and it builds trust. ‘Like’ a post, support with a comment, celebrate achievements, or just be friendly and normal with your interactions. Humour goes a long way, if that’s too much be a light-hearted, or entertaining. We are here to do business with each other, and perhaps you can be more open to that as well. LinkedIn Live is a great way for businesses to engage with their audience. There has been a 176% increase in scheduled LinkedIn Live events and a 75% rise in spontaneous events year-on-year. Our own experiences have been really interesting, drawing in front of mind awareness and referrals like no other channel. People are using it for product launches, to create and share thought leadership, or to engage partners, customers or peers in a panel discussion. The interactive nature of live events can be a bit scary but it's worth it. The time it takes to record one is far less than a recorded video and you take and retake until perfection. And so what if it isn’t perfect? That fosters deeper engagement and builds trust. Time and again, we are helping people get started, so give us a shout if you’re thinking about it.
