This week, Platform had a fantastic time at the Lee Valley White Water Centre Olympic Course for our end of summer social event with our Northwood Investors LLC friends. Congratulations to the 2024 student cohort of the UCL Dept of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering successfully completing their Masters. As the building's transformation reaches its final stages, we are turning our attention towards occupation and bringing The Acre, Covent Garden to life. This month, the Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster Mind Green Minds group enjoyed a calming connection with nature. In Regent's Park, we immersed ourselves in birdwatching, exploring wild spots, where we identified and appreciated the various birdsongs. We were fortunate to observe a kestrel, a woodpecker, a few black caps, and much more. Thank you to Gemma Hindi, Beth (Nature Thrives Engagement Officer) and Sammy Bonham (Wildlife Officer) from The Royal Parks for educating the group on the various bird species and guiding to the wetlands for a bird feeding session. We greatly appreciate the valuable insights and expertise shared by the park staff, who contribute to preserving the wonderful wildlife and nature within our city.
