Since moving in to Easton Business Centre we've built some wonderful new relationships. We've been working with the brilliant Rhombus | B Corp™ to develop a toolkit for Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn | Isle of Anglesey County Council. The kit is designed to support community councils in engaging young people when planning play spaces. This new Local Authority relationship came through our work on Public Map Platform/ Llwyfan Map Cyhoeddus We'll be officially launching the toolkit in May, so watch this space. It's great being in Easton Spaceworks, being surrounded by so many social enterprises and creative companies. Look forward to more collaborations being forged over lunches and networking events.
Great things happen when like-minded businesses share a space. Two of our Easton Business Centre customers Play:Disrupt and Rhombus | B Corp™ recently joined forces to create a toolkit that helps children shape the design of their own play spaces! While they’d met before moving in, it was the power of networking and community that naturally nurtured this collaboration. This is exactly what Spaceworks is all about: providing not just office space, but a community where businesses can connect, innovate, and grow together. 💭 Curious about their story? Rydym ni wedi bod yn gweithio fel cyd - ymchwilwyr ar brosiect Public Map Platform/ Llwyfan Map Cyhoeddus, sy’n creu map digidol wedi eu creu gan y cymuned lleol ar Ynys Mon. Mae’r map yn ymateb i’r deddf llesiant cenedlaethau’r dyfodol, ac yn adlewyrchu rhannau gwahanol o fywyd yn yr ardal. #cydcreu #poblifanc #llwyfanmapcyhoeddus #mapdigidol #mapcymunedol

As co-investigators on the Public Map Platform/ Llwyfan Map Cyhoeddus we have been working with groups of young people across Anglesey to help design a new communal map of Anglesey. We've been using model making, movement, and sound based activities to find out where young people like to play, and animating icons for the map together. Watch our video below to find out more about what we've been up to! #engagement #youngpeople #youthvoice #publicmapplatform #anglesey #digitalmap #communitymap #icon

At the start of this year, we reflected on how we work as an organisation, and how we prioritise and plan our projects. Our January newsletter focuses on the garden as a lens for how we can grow our work sustainably, using the infographic below as a useful tool. Read more in our latest newsletter here >> https://lnkd.in/eBHaE-z7 [alt text for image below:] There is a principle in permaculture that defines 'zones' to support garden design. It is concieved as concentric circles leading from the centre out--from most labour intensive to least. It is not a hierarchy of importance, but rather a way of thinking about relative location and frequency of attention. How might these principles help you to plan your work this year? Below is our variation. What would yours look like? Zone 1: People, Team, Care Zone 2: Project Delivery, Do, Play Zone 3: Networks, Future Projects, Plan Zone 4: Reflect, Review, Zone 5: Learn, Share

Play:Disrupt reposted this
Hi people- here is this month’s newsletter that I write for Play:Disrupt. I hope it is informative and thought provoking. Please subscribe if you’ve not already! Thanks!
It's planning time in the gardening calendar. What are the conditions we need to nurture? Hate, chaos and confusion are very good conditions for growing fear and division, and likely to yield a monoculture for the few. We’re more interested in growing an abundant, shared harvest for the many. Read about how we’re doing this our January Newsletter on this link:https://lnkd.in/eBHaE-z7 #creativecommunityengagement #civicparticipation, #codesign #consultation #play
