🧠 Congratulations to one of our newest portfolio companies CareLoop Health, which has won a £488k grant to help tackle severe mental health! 🩺 The Small Business Research Initiative Healthcare award will enable the company to work with three Southwest-based NHS trusts Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Devon Partnership NHS Trust and Livewell Southwest – to give patients in the region access to its platform over the course of a year. 🏥 The news follows research that has found, in the UK, around 4% of the total NHS budget is spent on psychosis. The lifetime cost of treating someone with psychosis is about six times the cost of treating someone with heart disease. 💷 This is a major milestone for CareLoop Health, which earlier this year raised funding from the GMC Life Sciences Fund By Praetura and #NPIFII – Praetura Equity Finance. #NextInTheNorth #VC #Investment #LifeSciences #MentalHealth
