Pure Fitout, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading bespoke interior fitout specialists, is delighted to announce the successful completion of an acquisition with a new strategic investor. The investment - which includes the purchase of sister company HALT - Natural Fire Retardant Treatment - comes at a pivotal time, following a challenging period where the business faced significant financial strain due to substantial unpaid invoices from key clients. These pressures had necessitated the difficult decision to enter administration as a protective measure to stabilise operations and facilitate investment negotiations. After several weeks of intensive discussions, a deal has now been finalised, securing the future of the business and retaining over 100 jobs. Damien Gaffney, new owner of Pure Fitout, shared: “After an intense few weeks, I am delighted to announce that I have acquired the business and assets of Pure Fitout and HALT, which had recently entered administration. This strategic move reflects my commitment to preserving operations and ensuring continuity for all of its employees. My immediate aim is to stabilize and revitalize the business by working closely with the management team. With a well-capitalized balance sheet and a sound, sustainable business strategy, I am confident in my ability to oversee Pure Fitout, ensuring it continues to deliver exceptional projects throughout the UK and Ireland.” Yvonne Loughran of Deloitte commented: “We are pleased to have been able to deliver a successful outcome that safeguards all jobs and preserves a well-respected brand in the interior fit out sector. The Administration process was used to protect the trading businesses and provide space and funding whilst a sale was being negotiated. Located in the historic La Salle Street Powerhouse, originally built in the 1890s to fuel Chicago’s booming transit system, powering trains that transported over 100,000 people daily between the Loop and the Northside. Pure Fitout is proud to announce the prestigious fitout of a luxury thermal spa garden at the Dunadry Hotel And Gardens. Building work has commenced and the spa garden will offer exclusive access to guests staying in the ten bedrooms that will form part of a premium retreat at the award-winning hotel. This £600,000 (€719,800) investment by the McKeever Hotels Group follows the recent launch of the hotel’s signature Irish whiskey venue, The Cellar. Created by Laura McConville of Brief Design, the design focuses on creating a tranquil, luxurious environment with features such as a hot tub, sauna, cool-water plunge pool, and a glass house. The addition of the thermal spa garden reflects a growing demand for high-end wellness experiences, and Pure Fitout is thrilled to have been entrusted with bringing this vision to life. Pure Fitout is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary McCloskey MSc MRICS MCIOB as Managing Director. Gary first joined Pure Fitout in September 2019 as Commercial Manager, before quickly progressing to Commercial Director. Throughout his time with the company, he has played a pivotal role in driving the expansion of Pure Fitout’s commercial operations across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. "I’d like to extend my congratulations to Gary on his new role as Managing Director," said Ronan Higham, owner of Pure Fitout. "In the past five years, Gary has overseen some of our most high-profile projects, such as the award-winning Claridge’s Spa, Hawksmoor’s debut Irish restaurant and the exclusive new Leinster Hotel in Dublin."
