How productive are your internal meetings? The Calendly State of Meetings report found that 45% of people feel the time they spend in meetings each week reduces their overall productivity. Probably not a surprise to many. Before hitting send on the invitation for a meeting, ask yourself these five questions. 1. Does this issue need to be discussed or can it be shared? 2. Do we have enough information to have a productive meeting? 3. Who needs to be involved and what will they contribute? 4. What is the most appropriate timing? 5. What is the goal or purpose of the meeting?

If you are now in planning mode for 2025, have you thought about how your processes might impact your agency's or team's performance? Some questions to ask: - Are your main processes consistent and does the team understand how to follow them? - What are the key documents your agency needs and do you have easily accessible templates for them? - How are documents being tracked and managed - are you spending a lot of time allocating them? - What habits and behaviours need to be improved or instilled in your team when it comes to process? - Are your systems performing in the way you'd hoped or planned?

Did you know this week (7th-11th October) is National Work Life Week? An annual campaign to get both employers and employees talking about wellbeing at work and work-life balance, and this year's theme is all about flexible working. Flexible working is no longer shortform for leaving early. It can take so many different forms (hence, the word FLEXIBLE 😉) Short days, long days, term-time, job sharing, flexi-time, the list goes on. Done right it can benefit employers and employees. ✅ Increased productivity ✅ Employee satisfaction ✅ Employee retention How has flexible working benefitted you? #WorkLifeWeek #MyFlex

What does the L&D strategy look like in your agency? How do you ensure people get the right training for their professional development? Do you have set criteria for approving training requests? Is it applied consistently? Sadly, the stats would imply that there are inconsistencies in how training is offered and allocated in UK PR businesses, creating an ethnicity training gap. According to the Chartered Institute of Public Relations' State of the Profession report, white PR professionals are: - more likely to have received training - more likely to have agreed training needs with managers - less likely to have training requests turned down Check out the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ehYUYSAf
