Team Rail Aspects Limited is at London City Airport en route to Berlin. If you're going to InnoTrans and we haven't yet arranged to meet, drop me a message when you're there (phone number in my profile). On the downside, Deutsche Bahn has already managed to wreck our plans to travel back by train, and at a cost to us already in excess of £1,000! We'll be sticking to flights for the foreseeable future.

Throwing a little challenge out to my network, inspired by a conversation in the pub a couple of weeks ago. Looking for current GB or international examples of railway performance improvement strategies that meet all four of the following criteria: 1) Specific to improving or sustaining railway punctuality and reliability, i.e. not just generic performance improvement approaches borrowed from other domains. 2) Simple enough that it would be possible to summarise the strategy on a single slide or page. 3) Incorporating the three essential elements of a genuine Strategy, i.e. Situation Analysis, Policy, and Action Plan (i.e. customisable to a specific Situation and not just an isolated Action Plan). 4) Proven to work, i.e. have been implemented in real life and shown to be effective. ??
