As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we've joined over 120 leading organisations in the education and charity sector to sign an open letter to the Chancellor. Together, as part of the current Government Spending Review process, we're advocating for children and young people constrained by circumstance. Last week, a group of ReachOut mentees took part in The Lord Mayor's Appeal #WeCanBe event - a day aimed at inspiring young women by showcasing the diverse range of careers available in the City of London.   The day started with a workplace visit at Cynergy Bank, where our mentees - a group of Year 9 girls - heard from team members about their careers, interview skills and CV tips!   In the afternoon they joined other young people from across London at the Guildhall where they were given £100,000 to invest in a choice of companies, considering return on investment as well as other factors such as sustainability and public opinion.   👏 A huge well done to our mentees who came third, up against Year 10-13 students from other schools! They also heard from an inspiring panel - Mahari Hay, Stephanie Charsley and Kali Gladdish, and ended the day setting goals for their futures.   A big thank you to the team at Cynergy: Evie Chrysostomou, Georgina Andreou, Rana Bhattacharya, James Herron, Sukhi B, Lauren Thomason, JANE PALMER, Sian Larman, Simon Wellden, Thomas Pearse, Rob Elsey, and Rebecca Tripp for their fantastic work with our mentees and to the Lord Mayor's Appeal for the invitation. #Careers #YouthDevelopment #Inspiration

As our schools in London and Manchester were breaking up for half term, we received this message from the parent of one of our mentees. It's so important to us that young people feel safe and happy at ReachOut and are ready and enthusiastic to work with their mentors and peers.
