The British Pig & Poultry Fair is at The NEC, Birmingham, on Wednesday and Thursday, May 15th and 16th. It is the leading event for the UK pig, poultry, and egg sectors and is renowned for showcasing the very latest innovations in the sector. With 336 exhibitors and over 7,500 visitors, it’s the number one meeting place for everyone in the industry. Realistic Agri had a stand there with Sean Quinn and David Porter, meeting visitors and discussing our solutions for monogastric nutrition, and were joined by Guido Johanterwage from PROVITA SUPPLEMENTS, our monogastric products suppliers. The event was a great opportunity to meet with the people who can directly benefit from the years of research, development, and experience that have gone into the mineral solutions, probiotics, functional components and feed additives they produce. The Pig & Poultry Fair is owned and operated by the Royal Agricultural Society of England.

Silage dry matter digestibility (DMD) has probably the most important influence on forage feed value and subsequent animal performance. DMD indicates the percentage of silage dry matter that the ruminant animal digests, therefore contributing to production. Research has shown that increased DMD leads to increased milk/meat production.
