The NEC is the capital of live and face to face interactions. We are the home to products being born, brands being launched and networks being made and grown.
We welcome around 3 million visitors each year and over 500 trade and consumer events. These vary from Range Rover launching the Evoque to Sainsbury's bringing staff together to motivate, engage and boost productivity through to shows like BBC Gardeners’ World, BBC Good Food Show and Spring Fair; MACH and the Clothes Show.
We couldn’t be better placed with direct access to the UK motorway network and a physical connection to Birmingham Airport and railway station. Sitting within a two hour drive time of almost 40 per cent of the UK’s population and with approximately 80 per cent choosing to travel by car, the site, with 16,500 car parking spaces, is well equipped to accommodate those visitors.
The NEC occupies a 611-acre site which offers unrivalled flexibility across more than 186,000 square metres of covered exhibition space through 20 interconnecting halls, around 167 acres of hard standing and 75 acres of woodland.
We’re now a a 24/7 destination too as the fantastic Resorts World Leisure Complex opened in Autumn 2015 – with a four star hotel with five star suites and spa, a cinema, casino, luxury shopping and an exciting mix of restaurants and cafes making the NEC a 24/7 destination for visitors from all around the world.

#CRUFTS | #ProjectServator officers were on-hand to keep those visiting, working and exhibiting at #Crufts safe while they were at the The NEC, Birmingham this weekend.
Project Servator is part of our everyday policing in #Solihull and #Birmingham so it may not be the first time you’ve come across our deployments in the area. However the tactic also supports some of the policing operations around the region’s largest events such as Crufts, which saw over 150,000 visitors last year.
Specialist officers are trained to spot the signs of hostile reconnaissance – information gathering which may help people plan or prepare to commit a crime. They’re were also on hand to remind those going to the event to stay vigilant and report any concerns to officers or security staff.
Our officers work in partnership with security teams and have access to a range of resources on their deployments, such as CCTV operators, plain clothes officers and of course, our pawe-some police dogs 🐾

As part of an exciting pathfinder project taking place here in Solihull, a fleet of fully electric self-driving shuttles are taking to the roads around the NEC.
The Solihull and Coventry Automated Links Evolution (SCALE) project is a collaborative initiative, aimed at better understanding the role self-driving vehicles might one day play within our future transport system.
On site testing is getting underway with passenger services along the first section of the route expected to go live shortly.
