Every month in the UK, responsible traders who comply with the TUFF Recyclers’ Code of Practice (CoP) reject over £50m worth of stolen phones using the CheckMEND device history checking service, preventing that cash from fuelling wider criminal activity. The UK Government is to launch an Online Fraud Charter. The Charter will call on the tech companies to introduce a number of measures to better protect users, including verifying new advertisers.
