Another successful week for our decommissioning team. Our client required the removal of four redundant 55,000 litre above-ground tanks, along with associated pipework and gantry, to make way for a new ground source heat pump system that will provide heating to the site. Our engineers removed the remaining fuel and carried out a tank clean from an external position, certifying the tanks as gas-free and ready for removal. The tanks were then safely removed and disposed of at a licensed facility. A job well done, ensuring a smooth transition to a more sustainable heating solution - with the added bonus of warm, spring-like weather! Today, we’re highlighting James Skinner. James is our Environmental Director and leads our in-house Environmental Consultancy team. With over 25 years of experience in the environmental and contaminated land sector, he specialises in the investigation, assessment and remediation of contaminated land. His expertise lies in the downstream petroleum and property development sectors and he has overseen the investigation and remediation of thousands of sites across the UK, with project values ranging from £1,000 to over £1M. Last week, we completed our annual Achilles Information Limited Building Confidence Audit, and we're pleased to share that we have passed once again. The audit consists of the verification and assessment of our management systems used by our supply chain, looking at both the quality and applicability of our systems. The audit is a supplier assessment designed for companies operating in the Building Confidence community, which is primarily focused on the construction sector. It ensures we meet key health and safety, environmental, quality, and ethical business standards. Essentially, it enhances our supplier credibility, which means we are visible to buyers in the industry. This achievement would not have been possible without Lucy Daffin, our Head of People and Culture. Our lovely Procurement Officer, Jack Nelson, has signed up for a Charity White Collar Boxing Fight on 22nd March in Exeter. Jack is taking on this challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that was there for him and his brother 16 years ago while their mum was fighting cancer. Sadly, she lost her battle, but Macmillan’s support made a lasting impact.
