Helena Hauff is one of dance music’s most celebrated—and enigmatic—DJs. Alongside the inimitable Fever AM label head, Mor Elian, the pair went deep on acid-drenched electro and techno cuts. Recorded live at Plaza Monumental for SOUNDIT’s October edition, the former bull-fighting arena provided a grand backdrop for their joint inauguration. It’s really no wonder the crowd called out for “another one” at the set’s finish mark.t Watch the full RA Live via https://lnkd.in/eVx3efkb

The Georgian Dream party's conservative vision has consistently clashed with the country's young, queer-led club scene. Last week, the ruling Georgian Dream party held on to power in Georgian elections. Since coming to power in 2012, Georgian Dream has become increasingly authoritarian. It has introduced laws that target queer rights and freedom of expression such as the controversial "foreign agents bill" that sparked mass protests in May this year. In our latest news explainer, we unpack the complex history that has brought the country to this point, and the potential impact on Georgia's vibrant club culture moving forward. The first Amsterdam-based edition of our charity record fair, Dig Deep, raised €6,110 for War Child. Thank you to all of the artists, labels and record stores that donated records; everyone who came through on the day and contributed to our fundraising total; the DJs who soundtracked the day perfectly; the speakers that brought the talks programme to life; and to our partners—Black Artist Database, Tilla Tec, DHL and Audio-Technica—who came together to make the event possible. What if there was an app that helped you to stay safe at a festival? That’s what the team behind SafeNow has created. And should something go wrong, partygoers can send an alert to the rest of their group. If you’re in a Safe Now zone, such as a participating venue or festival, safeguarding teams will also be notified. SafeNow can be used outside of clubs and festivals too, for letting your pals know you’re home safely. SafeNow is supported by Jägermeister UK’s SAVE THE NIGHT platform. POiSON GiRL FRiEND is a treasured cult pioneer. The Japanese artist’s quietly sublime 1992 album, Melting Moment, was a masterful—and prescient—LP that folded in elements of city pop, house and what we now know as trip-hop. Melting Moment may be gleefully riding a second wind, but one thing’s for certain: POiSON GiRL FRiEND has never lost her sparkle. Read the full Rewind via https://lnkd.in/eNJjtUp5
