This Grade II listed building is at last having its roof meticulously restored. We've spent two years carefully dismantling, ready to restore and renovate. Here, each Cotswold stone slate has been sourced from local historical quarries to ensure the roof is true to its past (these tiles are not made anymore). Pictured, you can see true skill at work as each is laid with demonstrable precision. #historicarchitecture #heritagebuilding #restoration #conservation

Colour choice will transform a kitchen's character, and you can move away from the typical whites and greys we have come to associate with contemporary styles without being overstated. This dark teal demonstrates how deeper tones create sophisticated impact without feeling too deliberate. Consider also: Greyed olive - brings natural warmth while maintaining neutrality Charcoal blue - adds depth with understated confidence Warm stone - bridges light and dark with quiet elegance The advantage of having an integrated architecture and interior design team means these crucial aesthetic decisions are considered from project inception. We can help guide you to making colour choices that feel both sympathetic to your property and right for you. #interiordesign #architecture #luxurydesign #kitchendesign

We may be as 'Oxford' as it gets as an architects practice but with a founder who had Scottish roots and many of our team today proudly boasting various degrees of the same, we've been celebrating Burns Night for a number of years now at Riach and it's always a fabulous event - just what's needed to see January through to its much anticipated conclusion! #burnsnight #oxfordnetworking #oxfordarchitects #oxfordevents

A play of natural light through an unexpected window alcove demonstrates how contemporary properties can possess the same architectural intrigue as their historic counterparts. Drawing on our extensive experience with both period and modern properties across Oxford and the Cotswolds, our team shapes spaces that skilfully blend character with contemporary efficiency. Each project benefits from this dual expertise, whether reimagining historic homes or creating distinguished new residences. Looking for a home with character, comfort, and function at its heart? Let's talk. #PropertyDevelopment #ArchitecturalExcellence #OxfordshireProperty #ResidentialDevelopment #LuxuryProperty"

Will 2025 be the year you take your dream home from idea to reality? Every project starts with an idea, but it’s the first sketches that begin to shape it into something tangible. This is where questions are asked, challenges are explored, and solutions start to emerge. Sketches aren’t about perfection—they’re about possibility. They mark the shift from thinking to doing. From dream home to actual home. Even the greatest ideas remain just that—ideas—until you take the first steps to bring them to life. If you’ve got an idea for your home, no matter how rough or polished, we’re here to help shape it into reality. Let’s make 2025 the year it happens. #ArchitecturalDesign #DreamHome #HomeTransformation #ResidentialArchitecture

2024 marked some incredible projects, clients, and collaborators who all made the year so rewarding. More than creating buildings, architecture is about shaping spaces that inspire, support, and evolve with the people who inhabit them. Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue transforming visions into reality, designing homes and spaces that blend beauty, functionality, and sustainability. To everyone we’ve had the pleasure of working with, thank you for trusting us to bring your dreams to life. Here’s to a new year filled with bold ideas, thoughtful design, and exciting opportunities. #ArchitecturalDesign #OxfordArchitecture #LuxuryHomes #SustainableDesign

Consider this photo an homage to the days getting steadily lighter! Natural daylight can stream in through the rooflight and windows, the white décor will amplify every ray, and a stunning piece of statement lighting becomes a striking centrepiece, adding character and sense of occasion to the space. Once the Christmas decorations and fairy lights come down, the next month or two can feel a bit gloomy – so be sure to create plenty of opportunities to let in daylight and beat the winter blues. Alternatively, embrace the darker season by slowing down and making your home a cosy sanctuary. Whether you’re seeking the light or curling up in the dark, here’s to a peaceful close to the year (and a bright beginning to the next). #ArchitecturalDesign #StatementLighting #StaircaseInspiration #OxfordArchitecture
