About us
lapd architects believe that a successful project starts with experts who take the time to understand their clients. Great innovative design only happens in a creative environment that believes in the importance of communication. We are a Chartered Practice based in Oxfordshire that was established in 2005 by Trevor Avery and Opinder Liddar. From the beginning, we have championed clear communication, uncompromising honesty, and innovative design. We work on a variety of design projects across the UK, including high-end residential extensions and refurbishments, interior design, and remodelling of all shapes and sizes, as well as large-scale developer projects. lapd is client-focused and champions an ethical and human approach to architecture.

Sarah’s Dream Graven Hill Self-Build Timber Frame Home A contemporary self build timber frame house designed around Sarah’s personality and lifestyle. Location: Bicester Method of Construction: timber frame Sarah purchased her plot at Graven Hill because she believed in the self-build dream: why spend money on mass-produced developer housing when you could build and design your own home around the way you live? Her self-build timber frame home would be designed around her life and unique requirements. lapd took the time to listen to her and understand the kind of home she wanted to live in. We rejuvenated her belief in the Graven Hill promise. Great design is the foundation of any successful self-build project. We then used our knowledge of Graven Hill processes to gain plot passport planning approval. We rejuvenated her ambition, taking the time to listen to her and designing around her dream.
