Great speaker addition to the Digital Transformation Conference 👀 We welcome our latest speaker to our London line-up. It's also a big welcome to Mehmet as he's just arrived in London having recently been appointed the Digital Innovation Lead for UK&I at Nestlé. A warm welcome to the city and the event 👏🏼 We look forward to hearing Mehmet's insights on the direction of travel for their digital transformation efforts with focus on a people first approach. We may also be tapping into what's going on with Nestlé's 'everyday AI' programme and what that looks like 🙌🏼 #DigitalTransformation #DigitalInnovation #Conference

Changes in technology funding, from 2024 to 2025 💰 ⤵️ Big decrease in legacy infrastructure funding, a more common trend as many enterprises migrate to cloud based solutions. Cybersecurity and AI (no surprises) remain the focus for 2025. Does this align with your organisational efforts? 👀 Source: Gartner (October 2024)

💀 6 AI Mistakes That Could Cost Your Business in 2025 👇 We heard from some brilliant business leaders at the AI in Business Conference at the back end of 2024 and these were some of the common warnings in place from those implementing good AI practice 👀 1️⃣ Ignoring Data Quality AI systems rely heavily on data to make accurate predictions and decisions. Poor-quality data, including incomplete, outdated, or biased information, can lead to unreliable insights and misguided business strategies. Investing in robust data governance practices is essential to ensure data accuracy and reliability. 2️⃣ Overlooking Ethical AI Practices AI systems can unintentionally reflect societal biases, leading to discriminatory outcomes. Failing to implement ethical AI practices can result in reputational damage and legal repercussions. Businesses must adopt transparent algorithms, conduct regular audits, and establish fairness standards to build trust with customers and stakeholders. 3️⃣ Neglecting Employee Training AI tools are only as effective as the people who use them. Companies often invest in advanced AI solutions but forget to up-skill their workforce. Providing continuous training helps employees understand AI tools better, enabling more effective utilisation and fostering innovation. 4️⃣ Relying Solely on Automation While AI can automate routine tasks, relying on it entirely can lead to operational risks. Human oversight remains crucial, particularly for critical decisions. Balancing AI-driven automation with human judgment ensures more accurate and context-aware outcomes. 5️⃣ Underestimating Cybersecurity Risks AI systems, like any digital infrastructure, are susceptible to cyberattacks. Weak security measures can compromise sensitive data and disrupt operations. Businesses must integrate AI with robust cybersecurity frameworks, conduct regular security assessments, and train staff on potential threats. 6️⃣ Failing to Align AI with Business Goals AI should support core business objectives rather than being implemented for its own sake. Misaligned AI initiatives can drain resources without delivering measurable results. Clearly defining AI goals and continuously monitoring performance ensures that AI investments contribute to long-term success. 🎬 AI offers tremendous opportunities for business growth and efficiency. However, avoiding these six mistakes will be critical in 2025. By prioritising data quality, ethical standards, employee training, balanced automation, cybersecurity, and strategic alignment, businesses can maximise the benefits of AI while minimising risks. #AI #Automation #AIStrategy

🎭 Is Mark Zuckerberg channeling his inner Elon Musk 🫣 Meta has laid off approximately 3,600 employees, accounting for about 5% of its workforce. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has characterised these layoffs as targeting "underperforming staff" to enhance efficiency and focus on artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. However, some former employees dispute this, suggesting that the layoffs are more about reallocating resources towards AI development rather than individual performance issues. Many are taking to LinkedIn & Reddit to let the world know that they are not low performers. This move aligns with a broader trend among major companies streamlining operations and investing in AI to stay competitive in evolving markets. Do we think Mark has been inspired by DOGE? ✂ #DOGE #Meta #AI

Unpacking the Paris AI Summit 👀 The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit, held in Paris on February 10 and 11, 2025, convened global leaders, tech executives, & researchers to discuss the future of AI 🔮 ⛔️ Varied Approaches to AI Regulation 👇 A significant point of contention was the approach to AI regulation. U.S. Vice President JD Vance cautioned against excessive regulation, stressing the potential economic benefits of AI & expressing concerns that stringent rules could stifle innovation. He said, "Excessive regulation... could kill a transformative sector just as it's taking off." European leaders advocated for a balanced approach. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen highlighted the importance of public confidence in AI & announced a €50 billion fund to boost AI ambitions within the EU. She emphasised the need for competition, collaboration, & maintaining public trust in AI technologies. 🌎 Global Commitments & Divisions 👇 The summit concluded with a declaration endorsed by around 60 countries, including France, China, & India, emphasising that AI should be "open, inclusive, transparent, ethical, safe, secure, & trustworthy." Notably, the U.S. & the UK chose not to sign this declaration, citing concerns that overly precautionary regulations could hinder innovation. 🏭 Industry Perspectives 👇 Google CEO Sundar Pichai described AI as the "biggest shift of our lifetimes," predicting it will significantly enhance human creativity & innovation. He also warned against creating an "AI divide" & stressed the importance of equal access to digital technologies. 🗺️ Looking Ahead 👇 The summit brought to light the global divide in approaches to AI governance, with some nations prioritising rapid innovation & others highlighted the need for regulation to ensure safety & public trust. As AI continues to evolve, these discussions highlight the importance of international collaboration in shaping its future. #AIsummit #ParisAISummit

🤖 Macron announces €109bn AI investment plan for France 💰 🇫🇷 French President Emmanuel Macron reveals a bold move with a €109bn investment strategy in artificial intelligence for France, aiming to boost Europe's presence in the rapidly expanding industry dominated by the US and China. 🇺🇸 This initiative follows US President Donald Trump's recent endorsement of the $500bn Stargate AI project led by OpenAI and SoftBank in the United States. The disparity in funding, computing resources, and regulatory clarity has hindered European start-ups compared to their American and Chinese counterparts. 🤑 In a proactive step, venture capital firm General Catalyst, in collaboration with an investment consortium, plans to inject €150bn over the next five years. Their focus includes integrating AI solutions within businesses, supporting European AI start-ups, and enhancing the essential infrastructure across the region. Thoughts? 👇 #AI #Investment #AINews #TechNews
