We are thrilled to announce that our recently completed project, Taigh Shiphoirt (Seaforth House) at Goathill, for Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar, has been awarded the prestigious Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) Gold Audit Accreditation for its dementia-friendly design! This is the first building in the Western Isles to achieve DSDC Gold, and we're incredibly proud to have delivered a high-quality project underpinned by evidence-based design research. The University of Stirling's DSDC auditor praised the building for its quiet and calming atmosphere, noting that it feels spacious and relaxing despite accommodating 52 residents. They also highlighted how the design complements the challenging weather conditions of the Outer Hebrides, creating a safe and supportive care environment that maximises resident independence. This award follows our project winning the Building Better Healthcare Special Award for its impact on patient experience and outcomes, and the SURF - Scotland's Regeneration Forum Award for Housing and Regeneration. Project profile is at https://lnkd.in/eqsWExJX Thanks to Pick Everard, McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd and all the other project partners we collaborated with to successfully deliver this building. #DementiaDesign #DSDCGold #EvidenceBasedDesign #HealthcareDesign #InclusiveDesign #Architecture #WesternIsles #Regeneration

🏘️📝 Planning 200 New Affordable Homes in Cumbernauld 📝🏘️ Ryden has been appointed by Sanctuary Scotland to secure planning permission for approximately 200 homes on the former HMRC site in Cumbernauld. We’re currently in the initial design phase of this transformative regeneration project, working closely with Robert Potter and Partners , Bayne Stevenson Associates Limited, EnviroCentre and others.
