As an EdTech company, back-to-school season feels like the start of a new year for us here at Robotical – the perfect time to reflect on some recent milestones. 🌟 First up, a big shoutout to our Marketing Director, Natalya Ratner, who took part in The Marketing Society's Amplify Debate on the motion: "AI is the Best Marketing Tool Ever." Her argument was not only thoughtful but funny too and it was great to hear her insights on the future of marketing. We're also thrilled to announce that Calum Robertson has been promoted to Business Development Lead! 🎉 With his passion for Marty the Robot, great sense of humor, and friendly approach, he's already made a big splash at Robotical. We can't wait to see where this next step will take him! Next, we’re excited to welcome Kevin Cantu, our second U.S. hire! 🚀 We're looking forward to seeing his impact on the team, and our Head of North America, Hal Speed, is especially happy to have another American in the mix. Lastly, we're celebrating the one-year anniversaries of two of our team members, Jane McNab and Hannah Dunn. 🎉 Both have been amazing additions to the Robotical family, and we're so grateful for all they do. Here’s to more exciting times ahead as we kick off this new chapter at Robotical! 🤖 ✨

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." At Robotical, we're taking a leaf out of Ferris Bueller's book and pausing to appreciate how far we've come. Reflecting on Marty’s impact since 2020, we're delighted with the results. So many educators and students have had the opportunity to meet Marty, and the positive feedback has been heartwarming. Looking ahead, we can't wait to bring even more STEM and coding fun to classrooms worldwide in the next school year and beyond. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey with us! 👇 https://lnkd.in/ef3WsWhb

Did you catch our founder and CEO, Alexander Enoch, on Business Daily last week? He had an insightful conversation with Dougal Shaw about AI, robotics, and the future of learning and work. 🤖 You can listen to the episode here 👇 https://lnkd.in/eJx56fUd

While our darts skills or ability to film boomerangs might not be anything to brag about 🤦♂️ , we can certainly boast about the great bond we share as a team. Last night, (most of) the Robotical team went to Flight Club to bid farewell to Will, a valued member of our product team. Though we're sad to say goodbye, his contributions have had a lasting effect and we're immensely grateful for his time with us. Best wishes, Will! ✨

Greetings from #Singapore! 🇸🇬 Marty the Robot has officially landed in this vibrant city-state all the way from #Scotland! Today, Marty had the incredible opportunity to explore the breathtaking sights and sounds of Singapore, and guess where he ended up? The iconic #MarinaBaySands! 🏙️ As Marty wandered through the bustling streets, he couldn't help but marvel at the stunning architecture and vibrant culture that defines Singapore. Marty is soaking in every moment of this unforgettable experience. Stay tuned as we document Marty’s adventures in Singapore, spreading joy and curiosity wherever he goes! 🤖✨ #MartyTheRobot Robotical

Last week marked an exciting milestone as, for the first time, the entire Robotical team gathered for our 2024 strategy day! 🤖 ✨ A day full of brainstorming and collaborative sessions; together we were able to tackle our challenges, explore opportunities, and ignite the innovation that continues to drives us forward. A special thanks to Nikos Theodoropoulos, PhD and Hal Speed for traveling to Edinburgh, and for allowing us for the first time ever to get a whole company group photo! Special appreciation also goes to David Lane and Rob Dobson for dropping by with their, as always, invaluable insights. #startup #startuplife #teambuilding

Fantastic work by Digital Xtra in providing access to digital tech activities for students and teachers across Scotland 🤖 👏
Thanks to Digital Xtra and our partners, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar have been able to upskill children and educators across the Western Isles using Sphero indis and Marty the Robot from Robotical. Children first learned screenless coding before the older learners moved on to block-based programming using MartyBlocks. The grant will also support the creation of a new LEGO Club at Sgoil nan Loch using LEGO Education Spike Essential kits. Thank you to CGI for coordinating coverage of this fantastic initiative: https://lnkd.in/ewNG4uVJ

"We had to adapt our robots to the AI revolution." It's widely recognised there is a defecit of tech skills in the UK, especially in areas like coding. But has artificial intelligence moved the goal posts? Do humans still need to know how to code? This is a dilemma Alexander Enoch, founder and CEO of Robotical was faced with. He developed a walking robot designed to teach coding after doing a PhD in robotics. He sells his robots to schools around the world, with particular success in the US market. His robot has now done something of a pivot. He's adapted it to teach AI principles to children. So, for example, it can now do lessons in facial recognition, using machine learning. In the years ahead AI will be our "co-pilot" in life, Enoch reckons. So we need to understand it and know how to work alongside it. I went up to visit his company in Edinburgh. All shot on iPhone 12. #robotics #ai #ceosecrets #artificialintelligence #artificialintelligenceforbusiness #artificialintelligencetechnology #tech #entrepreneur
