Today we're thrilled to share the results of our first system prototype as part of our project with NATEP and InnovateUK. What does it take to re-invent aerospace propulsion for the 21st century? Well it is not without its challenges, for the last 18 months the team have been hard at work designing and building a 1m scale technology demonstrator with a huge target of 1000N thrust. After a challenging process of design, refinement and a healthy dose of adversity we are pleased to state the claim we achieved a max thrust of 1204N at just over 1850 RPM - exceeding our target by 20%! With scope to improve system level efficiency by upwards of 27% and craft level efficiency of 32%+. The HaloDrive system is posed to be a game-changer for the future of aerospace propulsion. A monumental thanks go out to our consortium partners Motion Robotics, Sabe Fluid Dynamics and Ace Wiring without whom we would not be here today.
