Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming an incredible team to provide essential health services to those accessing Routes to Roots. Our thanks to Holly Wentworth, Lead Vaccination Nurse from Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust, and Dr. Maggie Kirk with the HealthBus Trust for delivering flu and COVID vaccinations, alongside Sam Whittle, Diabetes Nurse Specialist from University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, who provided diabetes testing and health checks. Direct access to these vital services makes a real difference, and it was heartening to see such a positive response. The generous donation will go directly towards providing breakfast for those rough sleeping and has helped us to expand our breakfast service from 2 mornings a week to 5. Ben Sargent, manager of the Genesis Centre, was proud to accept the cheque alongside one of our amazing volunteers, Neil!
