Updates

  • Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024 has been another busy year for Saer Architects, and we have enjoyed working on lots of interesting and varied projects across North Wales and the North West of England. Now well into our fourth year of operation it has been great to see some of our larger projects making it onto site, with some even approaching completion - keep an eye on our socials for updates! Our growing workload means we are now a team of seven, with Dan and Alys joining us at the end of summer to replace Trystan after he returned to university in September. After many years of hard work we were delighted Mari and Molly successfully qualified as Architects last month, meaning we are now a team of five Chartered Architects, one Architectural Technologist and an Architectural Assistant. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our new and returning clients for working with us over the past twelve months and providing us with such rewarding projects, as well as all the Contractors and fellow Consultants who support us in bringing these projects to life. We are all aware of the funding difficulties hospices are currently facing and this year at Christmas we have decided to make a donation to our local children’s hospice Tŷ Gobaith. • Successful refurbishment complete! Tŷ Blodwel was recently handed over to Tai Gogledd Cymru | North Wales Housing following the completion of works that were undertaken by NWPS Construction. The former underused office building has been converted into 2 new high-quality, energy efficient apartments and now provides a secure home for people transitioning from temporary accommodation. Through the use of the Welsh Government Transitional Accommodation Capital Programme (TACP), the site address the pressing need for sustainable housing solutions.

  • We’re delighted to congratulate both Molly Jones and Mari Catrin Evans on successfully passing their Part 3 Examinations to fully qualify as Architects! Mari joined Saer in January 2022 with Molly following in October 2023 and both have worked extremely hard to balance their studies alongside their work commitments, continually building on their skills and experience whilst contributing to day to day Saer life. It’s fantastic to have two more qualified architects in the team and we are looking forward to continuing to support them both as they develop through their careers. Congratulations Molly and Mari!

  • Our scheme of 13 new houses in Conwy has recently gone out for Pre-Application Consultation.    The modern family homes have been carefully designed to work with the challenging sloping landscape and existing vegetation surrounding the site. Ranging from 2 bedroom affordable houses to larger 5 bedroom market houses, the dwellings have been positioned to make the most of the spectacular views of the surrounding area and the River Conwy Estuary.   A Full Planning Application will be submitted to the Council in the New Year and we look forward to seeing the scheme progress.
