Our Chief Purpose Officer Fiona Morgan took part in the Carbon Newbie Summit at #ClimateWeekNYC2024 last week and joined to discuss the launch of our Creatures United campaign, our Podium for the Planet - the Impact League, and our Better Sport and Better Planet strategy. It was a quick 12-minute fireside chat, but it was great to get on stage with the brilliant Michelle Li. Thanks for having Fiona. #CreaturesUnited #PoweredbyNature #SailGP #BetterSportBetterPlanet #NewYorkCimateWeek2024 #purposeandimpact

One of the most rewarding parts about #ClimateWeekNYC2024 is the willingness of all participants to pitch in, collaborate and share learnings. On Tuesday, SailGP's Chief Purpose Officer Fiona Morgan joined our friends at New York Road Runners for a panel discussing sustainability in sport. Speaking alongside Annie Horn, Director, Social Responsibility & Sustainability at the National Basketball Association (NBA); Jessica Murfree, Ph.D., sport ecologist, researcher, and professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and moderated by climate activist and author Tina Muir, this all-female sustainability leaders panel had an open and honest conversation around the challenges faced about the intersection of sustainability and sport. The discussion focused on why sport is a powerful motivator for change, sustainability's role in fan engagement, the power of athletes using their voice for good, grassroots sport and more. Thanks for having us! 'We're all in the same boat!' 🐻❄️🐠🐟🐆🌎 #SailGP #PoweredbyNature #BetterSportBetterPlanet #CreaturesUnited #Wereallinthesameboat #purpose #collaboration #sharelearnings #impact

Yesterday, SailGP hosted a roundtable at #ClimateWeekNYC2024 in partnership with Goals House 'Making Waves Ahead of the UN Conference 2025'. The ocean is SailGP's racetrack - it sits at the heart of our global racing league. 🌊 This open and collaborative conversation shed a light on the ocean and it’s prominent role in the wider climate conversations as we go into 2025, specifically uplifting the UN Ocean Conference in Nice. Discussions focused on the vital role the ocean plays in restoring the planet back to health. From restoration to innovation, participants agreed that we must keep all eyes focused on the blue if we are to have a hope of achieving any of our climate or biodiversity targets. 🌱 Incredible minds joined the roundtable from policy leaders through to innovators including Pascal Lamy, Chair of the Blue Economy and Finance Forum, Joy Jibrilu, CEO of Nassau Paradise Islands (Bahamas), Daniela V. Fernandez, Founder and CEO of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) and many more. Thank you to Project Everyone's Gail Gallie for co-hosting this event with our Chief Purpose Officer Fiona Morgan and thank you to all the participants for an invigorating and inspiring conversation. 'We're all in the same boat!' 🐻❄️🐠🐟🐆🌎 #CreaturesUnited #ProjectEveryone #SailGP #NYClimateWeek2024 #PoweredbyNature #collabration #innovation #OceanRacetrack

A pause in the #ClimateWeekNYC2024 content to share SailGP's Chief Content Officer Melissa Lawton on stage at the first-ever SportsPro AI event yesterday to discuss all that SailGP is doing in the AI space. Technology and innovation sits at the core of our sport - fuelled by the Oracle Cloud which enables SailGP athletes to bring the fiercest of competition to each event around the world. AI powered camera facilities on each of the racing F50s allow SailGP to 1️⃣ capture the most exciting content 2️⃣ enable anti-crash technology for the teams and boats so it can warn them of an impending crash 3️⃣ 'predict the unpredictable’, to see and anticipate events humans may not and more. #SailGP #Borninthedigitalage #technologyandinnovation #PoweredbyNature #OracleCloud #Oraclepartnership #SportsProAI2024 #AI
