Sainty Hird & Partners had huge fun at the F1® Arcade last week. Vying for the Championship needed skill, tenacity and great concentration. Competition was intense. Our Italian colleague, furious at being in a Williams (rather than a Ferrari), made every effort to destroy it; the over-confident, racing as “semi-pros”, were soon buried in gravel; and the winners worked best as a team. A great evening!

It is with enormous sadness that we must acknowledge the far too early death of Christopher Beatson-Hird, who (with Ralph Grayson and Julian Sainty) founded our company in April 1996. “CBH” was a giant in financial services’ headhunting. In addition to the many and various captains of banking he helped to appoint, still further behind the scenes he initiated the formation of a number of FS advisory boutiques. His legacy remains in their continued success today. Christopher also set a record in orchestrating not one but two team moves of over 100 people, armed with a biro, several pads of lined paper and access to a fax machine. He was a remarkable man, who will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with Arabella, Fred and Anna. RIP CBH.
