Women in finance are here to #connect, share and #empower.   In partnership with Bloomberg, Santander Corporate & Investment Banking organized a unique #event in Argentina that brought together 120 #women leaders from the #financialsector: representatives from banks, investment funds, insurance companies, law firms and large corporations.   During the event Bloomberg presented a review of the latest advances in ,#artificialintelligence applied to market analysis, and our economist, Mariela Diaz Romero, delved into the global and local macroeconomic context. To close, industry leaders, including Maria Agustina Colloca, Eugenia Fernandez Pouchan, CFA and Florencia Bellasi, shared their experiences and lessons learned in an inspiring panel, encouraging new generations of women in the industry.   The spirit of the event was clear: to connect, share knowledge and empower women. It was an honor to welcome all our speakers and attendees, and we remain committed to building spaces where women in finance continue to drive change.

We are delighted to share Guilherme Silveira has been appointed as new head of #Equities at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking Brazil. Guilherme has a #career spanning over 20 years in #fixedincome, #debtcapitalmarkets and #banking in #Brazil and the #US. He joined Santander in 2008 and since then has held prominent roles, including head of Fixed Income, FI Sales and Debt Capital Markets in Brazil. He began his career at ABN AMRO. We are pleased to announce the #appointment of Mariana Cahen Margulies as head of #Banking at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking #Brazil.   Mariana joined Santander in 2008 and has held several key positions in the Global Banking team in Europe and Brazil, and most recently in Global Markets as head of Equities Brazil. Prior to Santander she worked at ING in Sao Paulo.   We wish Mariana the best in her new #role!

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking recently hosted its inaugural #German #Markets #Summit to celebrate the #opening of its new #Frankfurt office. Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is acting as #Buy #Side M&A #Advisor to Cosette Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a portfolio company of Avista Healthcare Partners, on its announced $430 million #acquisition of Mayne Pharma. Santander also acted as sole #FX #hedge and revolving #credit facility provider. With this #transaction, Santander continues to deepen its relationship with Cosette Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Avista Healthcare Partners. This transaction is expected to close in the coming months, subject to regulatory approvals. Congratulations to Cosette and all team members involved!

We are proud to share Santander Corporate & Investment Banking breaks new ground with a #landmark $3 billion Qatar #sovereign #bond #deal.    This #transaction, featuring a $1 billion 3-year and $2billion 10-year benchmark, represents Santander’s first-ever #DCM mandate in the MENA region, our first sovereign transaction in MENA, and our first engagement with a Qatari entity in DCM.   The success of this deal reflects the strength of our local #expertise combined with our global #reach. Congratulations to our #client and the teams involved!
