While retaining its familiar exterior, the updated Combo+ now includes an integrated backlight. This can be activated with a button press or via detection of a laser beam in the sensor window, facilitating a hands-free operation. What is it like to be hit by a bucket? I found out at Digital Construction Week with VR expert Jamie Dowley of Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon. They are demonstrating the 3D Collision Avoidance solution from Xwatch Safety Solutions part of Hexagon on stand D420. And I have to say it’s a bit of a shock when the bucket comes towards you.
