David Sole OBE, Managing Partner at School for CEOs, emphasises: “To thrive in this evolving landscape, CEOs must prioritise long-term strategic planning and be prepared to make swift adjustments to their top teams. Now more than ever, a trusted team of advisors is essential for success and making informed decisions.” “It is also essential that CEOs invest time in horizon-scanning, both at a geo-political level to understand potential threats to their business, as well as giving consideration to how new technologies can be harnessed to give their organisations competitive advantage.”

PODCAST REPLAY: Overcoming Impostor Feeling Do you feel you are in a leadership role you do not deserve and fear being ‘found out’? You're not alone. Since 2012 School for CEOs has been running programmes for senior business leaders from a wide range of sectors and industries, and both delegates and speakers have reported feelings of self-doubt and being out of their depth at work - a phenomenon known as Impostor Feeling or Imposter Syndrome. When we discovered that very little research explored how it affected senior leaders, School for CEOs undertook our own study with Heriot-Watt University to uncover how prevalent it is among our leaders and what helps them manage it. This podcast episode explores some of the key findings from this research as well as three recommendations that will help you overcome Impostor Feeling. Listen here >>> https://bit.ly/3S5Jpw5

THE MYTH OF OPEN DOORS... Many leaders use open-door policies, inviting colleagues to share their thoughts and concerns. However, the reality often paints a different picture. Despite the sentiment, employees may perceive barriers that prevent them from speaking up, notably when it comes to inclusive or non-inclusive behaviours. This means that leaders may not get the feedback they need to develop, and when they do it may not be the unfiltered, honest feedback they are seeking. So how can leaders get honest and effective feedback from their colleagues? Learn more in this article from our Inclusion Consultant Tafadzwa Maisva >>> https://bit.ly/3WF0Bew

3 WAYS TO PREPARE FOR EXECUTIVE COACHING... 🤔Clarify your why - understand why you want coaching. What do you hope to achieve—new behaviours, better results, or specific outcomes? Ask yourself, How will I know if my coaching has been successful? 📈Gather baseline data - identify what feedback or data you have that reflects how others perceive you. This could be from a 360° review, psychological profiling, or organisational surveys. Having this information will help you track your progress. 🫱🏽🫲🏽Commit to the process - be ready for the effort that change requires. Coaching is more than ticking a box on your development plan - it requires a genuine commitment to improvement. If you're not fully prepared to embrace change, it's better not to set unrealistic expectations for yourself or others. Are you coach-ready? Read the full article from School for CEOs Coach and Partner Colin Daniel >>> https://bit.ly/3XQuUiz
