📢 💥 CALL TO THE SCOTTISH BUSINESS COMMUNITY TO URGE THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT TO CONTINUE TO FUND YOUNG ENTERPRISE SCOTLAND 💥📢 *** I have shared a further update in a comment about the £285K funding reinstatement announced by the Deputy First Minister this afternoon during Topical Questions. Please select 'Most recent' from the comments below and watch the video where you can see the announcement, along with Daniel Johnson's questions. It's well worth watching for a multitude of reasons as you'll see! *** As per my posts last week and as a former Board Director of Young Enterprise Scotland (YES), I'm calling on the power of LinkedIn for some help please. I've written an open letter to the Scottish Government to express the concerns of the collective Scottish business community about the recent withdrawal of funding for YES. This decision stands to impact many thousands of young people across Scotland, who benefit from the unique, hands-on experience that YES offers, empowering them to develop crucial skills in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and problem-solving. I and countless others, believe that investing in programs like YES is an investment in the future of Scotland’s young people and, in turn, the prosperity of our country. This letter will serve as our collective call to action for the Scottish Government to reconsider its decision and to reaffirm its commitment to youth development and entrepreneurship.   I am urging the Scottish business community to join me in pledging your support for Young Enterprise Scotland, affirming that Scotland’s young people deserve every opportunity to contribute to a thriving and equitable economy. For many years, Young Enterprise Scotland has equipped young people with practical tools and confidence to succeed in the ever-evolving job market.  YES not only supports traditional educational pathways but also fosters creativity, resilience, and ambition. With funding being removed, we risk losing an essential program that reaches those who might otherwise miss out on opportunities to build these skills, develop their potential and contribute meaningfully to our society and the Scottish economy. My ask is for you to please add your name to the signatory list which you can do 👉 https://lnkd.in/eUUK7bMK I would also appreciate if you can please share this post from your own profile and/or that of your company in order that we can gain as many signatures as possible. Time is obviously of the essence with this, we have a short window. Thank you in advance. #scottishbusiness #smes #entrepreneurship
