SDC was invited to present at CoreNet Global APAC summit in Singapore where Co-Founder, Harsha Kotak, and India Collective Associate, Payal Sandhu Khurana, delivered a presentation titled “Looking Beyond Carbon: Focusing on Social Value Measurements”. As the industry intensifies its efforts toward sustainability, it is essential to recognise that carbon reduction is just one piece of the puzzle. The presentation explored the importance of measuring social value alongside environmental impact and how these metrics are becoming vital in shaping responsible business practices and sustainable real estate development. The discussion explored a variety of brilliant case studies that showcased how regenerative design and materials can be integrated into projects. Insights into using materials that are regenerated from other natural materials showed a truly sustainable way for the built environment to give back more than it takes. The activity session led by Prescott Gaylord created a fun & positive buzz with participation from industry leaders and like-minded professionals passionate about creating spaces that benefit not only the environment but the communities around them. Together, we can help redefine the future of our built environment in a way that truly makes a positive impact.
