Ensuring Precision in the Ibbenbüren Mine Dewatering Tunnel ⛏️ In collaboration with VMT GmbH, Senceive’s wireless monitoring technology is making a difference in one of Germany's most challenging infrastructure projects. The 7.4 km tunnel requires precise, automated monitoring solutions due to its unique structural demands and use of pea gravel rather than traditional grout. With Senceive’s tilt sensors used for VMT’s Ring Convergence Measurement System (RCMS), the project benefits from near real-time data and remote monitoring to detect structural changes as they happen, ensuring safety and stability. This system means VMT now has consistent monitoring and automated alerts, eliminating the need for manual data evaluation and significantly enhancing both safety and efficiency. Harnessing intelligent monitoring technology to keep people and infrastructure safe
About us
We lead the world in the design, manufacture and continuous improvement of wireless condition monitoring solutions. Since 2005, we have focused on bringing intelligent wireless condition monitoring to civil engineering and rail applications. Today, Senceive is widely seen as the global leader for wireless remote condition monitoring solutions, with more than 30,000 sensors installed in 2020 alone. Our wireless remote condition monitoring technology is used in 35 countries in civil engineering, rail, mining and more. The possibilities are immense. Some clients use it to make infrastructure safer by detecting problems such as landslips before they affect roads or railway tracks, or for early warning of movement in dams or flood defences before they fail. Other clients use it to support efficient use of scarce maintenance resources, for example by measuring changes in railway track geometry to pinpoint where maintenance is needed. And others use it to monitor the effects of activity such as tunnel construction on nearby buildings and structures. Contact us to see how we can help you. info@senceive.com

Embracing Smart Monitoring in Mining 🛠️ Automating data collection is essential for mine operators to fully leverage digital monitoring. Unlike manual-download sensors like analogue piezometers and inclinometers, wireless systems offer automated, ultra-low maintenance monitoring over long lifespans. Senceive’s Digital Interface Node integrates a wide range of third-party sensors - from weather stations to borehole piezometers - into wireless networks, enabling continuous data, remote access, and real-time alerts. By combining the Digital Interface Node with our wireless Tilt Meters and cameras, operators can detect and simultaneously assess events such as shallow ground deformation, changes in water content, and instability of soil and rock much deeper below the surface. This can be essential to assess the safety of critical mine assets such as storage dumps and tailings dams. #Mining #iot #DigitalTransformation #mines

The PT100 RTD Sensor – a versatile solution available as a standalone temperature interface or combined with a triaxial tilt sensor. It’s perfect for assets vulnerable to movement from temperature fluctuations. With an impressive accuracy of ±0.1°C and an operating range from -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to 185°F), it provides near real-time alerts when set thresholds are exceeded, even in the toughest environments. 🌡️ Like all Senceive wireless monitoring technology, the PT100 RTD sensor is quick to install - typically within minutes - and built to last for 12-15 years. It’s ideal for both short-term projects like concrete curing and long-term monitoring, such as critical rail temperature alerting. If you’re new to following Senceive, welcome! One of the key technologies behind our wireless monitoring solutions is the tilt sensor - a vital tool used to detect sub-millimetre movement on critical infrastructure like tunnels, bridges, and railways and even ground movement. Benefitting from continuous development, our advanced tiltmeters can send wireless updates to remote users every 30 minutes, with a battery life of 10 to 15 years. This real-time data allows engineers to make proactive decisions, prevent potential failures, and keep projects running smoothly. Curious to know how it all works?
