We're not only about understanding the earth beneath us but also ensuring safety in all facets of our projects. One area that demands our attention and expertise is the Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Survey and Risk Mitigation. 🚧 💣 Buried UXO continues to pose significant risks to construction and development projects. Our experienced team have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to non-intrusive p-UXO datasets. ✅ From organising and interpreting a UXO desk study and conducting non-intrusive geophysical surveys to liaising with authorities for intrusive target investigations, we've got you covered. Concerned about the potential presence of UXO on your project? Email info@sepgeophysical.com to learn more about how we can help 📧 #SEPGeophysical #UXOsurvey #riskmitigation

It's been almost 5 and a half years since Geophysicist Gregor Airey tragically lost his sister, Sophie, to suicide. In memory of her, he has been dedicated to raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. As part of this effort, he will be running the Great North Run in September for the charity PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, which supports young people struggling with mental health and suicidal thoughts. In recognition of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, this is a reminder that even small actions, like checking in on someone, can make a big difference in someone's life. If you would like to show your support for Gregor and PAPYRUS, please consider donating to his fundraising page and sharing this post with your network. 🔗 Donate now: https://lnkd.in/eTgmq7BY 🔗 Learn more about PAPYRUS: https://lnkd.in/d9gh8Qs #MentalHealthMatters

Did you know Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) dates back to the 1930s? 🤯 It's incredible how far we've come in understanding and implementing this geophysical method. From identifying fluid pathways in reservoir embankments to delineating the spatial and depth extents of unrecorded landfills, ERT has proven its value time and time again. Today, it continues to play a pivotal role in aiding our understanding of the subsurface, driving forward innovations in areas like environmental science, archaeology, and geotechnical engineering. Fascinated by the power of ERT or curious about its potential applications in your field? Let's talk! #ERT #Geophysics #SEPGeophysical
