Meet Frank, our Volunteer Book Scanner 📚 In just 11 weeks, Frank has helped raised an impressive £1,177 by scanning donated books onto e-commerce platform Shopiago. Shopiago is an online selling platform allowing charities to sell second-hand books for instant money. The process is simple: scan the barcodes of books onto Shopiago’s website, receive an instant offer, and just like that – money for the Hospice is made! Frank is instrumental to Shopiago’s success as he sorts, scans and packs books to raise essential funds for the Hospice. "Volunteering gives me a feeling of achievement knowing I’m spending my time helping others. With Shopiago it’s fantastic to see immediate results in comparison to waiting for the books to sell off the shelves. I have just been to Acorns Children's Hospice brand new Superstore at Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre - it is spectacular! It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Lots of fabulous home and fashion items - loved the vintage sideboard, just wish I had space for it at home 😩 Although I did pick up a gorgeous black dress that was giving me Jen Graham Charity Shop Girl vibes 🧺 Spent some time with Kirsty Pugh making sure their Shopiago Trade-in was all set-up and ready to go, even checking out a trade using the ENDSEPT15 promo code to get an extra 15%!
