It’s #TimeToTalkDay – a chance for all of us to be more open about our mental health; to talk, to listen and to change lives. This morning Sinclair Group were delighted to be joined by Lloyd Ashley, ex-professional rugby player of both the Ospreys and Scarlets. Lloyd is also a First Aid for Mental Health instructor, the lead for Mental Health & Wellbeing for the Welsh Rugby Players Association, and an ambassador for Hafal, Wales' leading charity for people with serious mental illness and their carers. In a workshop with Sinclair Group's Mental Health First Aiders, Lloyd led discussions on a number of topics including how we can break the stigma around talking about mental health, the power of starting these conversations, plus the importance of consistency in our wellbeing practices. Our Mental Health First Aiders also shared what they find to be most valuable about taking on this role across Sinclair Group, many sharing examples of activities they run at their dealerships to create a welcoming and safe environment. Thank you to Lloyd for joining us this morning, and to our Mental Health First Aiders who do a very important and valuable job in supporting their colleagues every day.
