Why is Quality Assurance (QA) so important within the Life Science Industry? As Life Science organisations are highly regulated, QA represents a crucial part of the drug and medical device development process. Ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and reliability of products and services, QA is therefore critical to maintaining trust with patients and achieving excellence for products. Molly Colclough interviewed five senior leaders - Colin Brown, Davide Rosso, Levente Szocs, Shaun Hastings and Robert Kayum - on the key benefits of implementing robust QA processes within Life Sciences organisations, and the talent needed to safeguard them. Last week our amazing DE&I Group held a charity event to raise money for our chosen charity The Alzheimer's Association!! It is estimated that Alzheimer's disease effects roughly 850,000 people in the UK and about 55 million people worldwide. I'm sure we're all connected to someone who has been effected by dementia too, which is one of the reasons we chose it as our charity. Despite the rising prevalence, dementia research is also significantly underfunded compared to other major conditions like cancer and heart disease. We are happy to say that we raised over £800 last week for the cause, meaning our total raised for this year so far is £1167! Everything donated will go towards the critical research, care and support those living with Alzheimer's. ⭐ #SkillsAlliance #CharityEvent #AlzheimersAssociation

FDA Approves Roche's Itovebi for Breast Cancer "With the approval of this Itovebi-based regimen, we continue our long-standing track record of cancer therapeutic discovery by offering an important new first-line option for people living with HR-positive breast cancer with a PIK3CA mutation,” said Levi Garraway, M.D., Ph.D., Roche’s Chief Medical Officer and Head of Global Product Development. “Despite the high prevalence of PIK3CA mutations in this setting, treatment options have thus far remained limited, which makes today’s approval all the more significant.” Find out more: https://lnkd.in/etBpQhZw #SkillsAlliance #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth2024 #FDAApproval #FindACure
