On 10 October 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting our #HR Spotlight Conference, bringing together clients to discuss the pressing priorities and challenges in today’s #workplace. We delved into the impact of the Labour government's plans for the biggest shakeup in #employmentlaw in 30 years, and strategies to stay ahead of legislative changes. 💼 During the morning, our sessions covered a range of insightful topics: • Labour’s Employment Reforms: Explored the key priorities and changes anticipated with the recent Employment Rights Bill. • Conduct and Culture: Examined whether regulatory interventions targeting non-financial misconduct in the financial sector could drive broader changes. • Pay Equality: Discussed how employers can navigate recent case law and upcoming legislative developments. • Hybrid Plans: Considered the benefits and whether UK companies might adopt this #executivepay trend from the US. 📽️ Watch this short video to learn more, and check out our latest briefing on the Employment Rights Bill via the link in the comments.

And are AI inventions themselves patentable in the UK? 📥 Download our flyer to explore these critical questions and more in further detail: https://lnkd.in/ectEVt9M

As the #COP16 Biodiversity Summit kicks off, it's an important moment for governments and businesses to accelerate action on the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, adopted at COP15. 🌳 A key focus in 2024? Implementing the ambitious #biodiversity targets and goals set out in the Framework and encouraging governments to step up, as fewer than 30 countries have submitted updated national biodiversity strategies and action plans so far. COP16 provides a crucial platform to drive forward global biodiversity efforts, including discussions on biodiversity finance, voluntary biodiversity credit markets, and rules for the use of digital biodiversity data. 👇 Find out more about how these developments shape both policy and business landscapes before the Summit begins using the link in the comments. #Sustainability #ESG #Climate
