Today we announce our FY24 full year results, and it’s been another good year for Smiths. This is our 3rd consecutive year of organic revenue growth, and we’re establishing a great track record. We reported organic revenue and operating profit growth, and improved headline operating profit margin as we made good progress against our medium-term financial targets. The roll out of next generation CT scanners at international airports is continuing apace, and our Smiths Detection team is at the forefront of this exciting industry development. Our latest partnership is with Kansai International Airport, one of Japan’s busiest airports with tens of millions of people passing through each year. Our CEO, Roland Carter recently took a trip to our John Crane site in Shannon, Ireland, to celebrate its 50th anniversary with colleagues. During his visit, Roland toured the site, listened to colleagues sharing memories (and cake!), and presented the team with a plaque commemorating the significant anniversary. Throughout the years, the team have built a strong track record delivering for our customers worldwide and we are looking forward to seeing what the next 50 years brings! Roland also met with the Detection Service team at Shannon airport, seeing the excellent CTiX installation and meeting with Shannon security personnel. #ProudToBeSmiths
