Instead, US soccer fandom starts from a different place. On the one hand, it’s formed under the passionate immigrant families coming to the US, which led to the rise of many MLS/NWSL clubs and fútbol culture. But on the other hand, it’s also born out of phenomena like video games, particularly EA Sports FC (formerly known as FIFA). Paying tribute to one of the club’s greatest players of all-time, adidas and Manchester United unveil the adidas x MUFC x George Best collection, which draws design inspiration from the 1967/68 season. Different to other clubs, Manchester United have a lasting legacy with iconic players and the number 7, from Cantona to Beckham to Cristiano Ronaldo. But it goes further back than that, arguably starting with George Best, a true trailblazer of his time. Now, paying tribute to his legacy, adidas present the MUFC x George Best collection, which features a long-sleeve jersey and matching tracksuit, with the design inspired by the club’s memorable 1967/68 European Cup winning season. Joining the home and aways shirts in the wardrobe, Paris Saint-Germain and Jordan have unveiled their new Third kit for the 24/25 season, with a design that symbolises the fusion of Parisian luxury and sporting excellence. Showing no signs of letting up, PSG and Jordan are back at it with the club’s new third shirt, once again pushing the boundaries of style and sport. The pale pink kit, adorned with a black stripe, reflects the commitment of both brands to blend elegance with boldness, while capturing the unique spirit of the club’s new generation. The kit will be worn for the first time by Paris Saint-Germain’s men’s team in their match against Rennes on 27 September, followed by the women’s team against Guingamp on 29 September. PUMA Honour Cody Mathès Gakpo As Joint Euro 24 Top Scorer With Signature Ultra To honour his performances at this summer’s Euros, in which he finished as the tournament’s joint top scorer, PUMA have presented Netherlands forward, Cody Gakpo, with a special pair of signature edition Ultra 5 Ultimate boots. While no one ran away with the scoring at Euro 24 this summer, Cody Gakpo earned a lot of praise for his dynamic attacking style for The Netherlands, which yielded three goals. It was enough to see him as the tournaments joint top scorer, along with Spain’s Dani Elmo, Georgia’s Georges Mikautadze, Germany’s Jamal Musiala, Slovakia’s Ivan Schranz, and, of course, Harry Kane, and now PUMA honour that achievement with a special signature pair of Ultra 5 Ultimate boots for the Dutchman. The design see a white base that's dominated by a vibrant yellow/gold burst that rises from the iridescent gold soleplate through the upper. "Cody" appears on the left heel, and "Gakpo" on the right, both in stylised gold font in recognition of the achievement.
