Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

DE&I is a key priority for the business and our journey continues. In the past year we have created dedicated resource to DE&I, as well as further invested in people analytics to better understand our employee base and the barriers they may be facing. Gender Diversity is an area we know can be improved, especially at a senior level. Several initiatives have been introduced to increase the ratio of women who are coming into the organisation as well as career and development opportunities.

Wellbeing

Our employees' health, safety and wellbeing is our highest priority, creating an environment where everyone can thrive. We have over 100 Mental Health First Aiders trained across the organisation and have trained over 500 employees in Mental Health Awareness. As well as this, all of our European Employees have access to free, confidential and impartial guidance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year as part of the Employee Assistance Programme.

Sony Summer Challenge (SSC) 2024

2024 marks the 8th year of the SSC and every year employees take part, either running/walking, cycling or swimming. Participating does not only help to improve health and wellbeing, it also helps to forge team spirit. Most importantly, for every kilometre covered Sony will be donating to Save the Children, an international organisation to help improve the lives of children worldwide. The top 3 teams in each league will also be awarded prize money to donate to a charity of their choice!
