What a surprise to meet Becky Brake at Wrong Jovi in The Half Moon Putney a historic venue in Wandsworth Borough Council - London Borough of Culture 2025. We swapped sad Bon Jovi memories from different decades and of course bad haircut stories. Cameraderie amongst colleagues is underrated. Career posts rarely mention that great work mates make you laugh, support you through difficult times, and become part of your life history. Often these are connections that you revisit throughout your career and grow older with. As I know and am grateful for 😊. 🌟 Kicking Off the New Academic Year with Our First EA CPD Session! 🌟 Today, we held our first EA CPD session of the new academic year, titled ‘How to Engage Students’. This theme is particularly valuable as our EAs will soon be working with and presenting to students from Year 8 up to Year 13. It was fantastic to see 14 of our EAs attending, with a great mix of both new and established EAs. The session was filled with interactivity, breakout rooms, and plenty of advice sharing. For those who might not know, an EA (Enterprise Adviser) is a business professional from any industry sector or professional background—whether employed, self-employed, or recently retired—who volunteers their time to create positive change in local schools and colleges. They use core skills such as relationship building, influencing, and strategic planning to make a lasting impact on the futures of young people. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this session a success!
