After 2 years as one of our Youth Board Members and prior to this, a valued member of our Youth Advisory Group (YAG), we say goodbye and a huge thank you to Mohammed Samir as he steps down from his position on the Board. During Mohammed's tenure, he secured a youth voice segment in every Board meeting, and was a driving force behind establishing stronger connections between the YAG and the Board. CEC Deputy CEO, John Yarham, said: "Mohammed has brought a huge amount to the CEC during his time on both the Youth Advisory Group and our Board. He is highly thoughtful, brings fresh insight – particularly on our digital approach – and has consistently championed the voice of young people. It has been great to work with him." Following in his footsteps as Youth Board Members are Rylie Sweeney and Ife Awotunbo, who will ensure youth perspectives are considered, heard and valued at all levels within CEC.
