Yorkshire’s three Metro Mayors have united under a new White Rose Agreement to champion the region and work together across key areas where they share mutual priorities, including: ➡️ Achieving good growth and driving investment ➡️ Promoting Yorkshire at home and abroad ➡️ Improving rail connectivity and cross-border bus services ➡️ Keeping communities safe. The White Rose Agreement will allow the Mayors to harness the powers of devolution to improve the lives of the millions of people they represent, whilst recognising the power and authority the Mayors have in their own respective areas. They are already delivering on the Agreement by commissioning Lord David Blunkett to review how to improve connectivity across Yorkshire. A political heavyweight, he’ll use his experience to help shape a better future—showing the power of Mayoral collaboration.
