On Sunday, the new Sky VIP lounge we completed within the OVO Hydro was officially opened! The lounge, for use by Sky customers, is one of the most prestigious spaces in the arena, with a dedicated entrance and customer check-in, along with a private area to relax with food and drink away from the crowds. This is the third project we have completed within the OVO Hydro, having previously formed two other hospitality lounges. Today we are looking back to our construction of a two-storey office on Main Street in Renton for Cordale Housing Association along with the full internal fit out of the building. The office was constructed with a timber kit on in-situ concrete foundations, with concrete ground floors and roof trusses with tiled covering. The internal fit out of the office included the installation of internal timber stud partitions, wall, floor and ceiling finishes, kitchen fitments, sanitary ware and the completion of decoration works throughout. Today we held our annual Halloween fundraiser for SAMH. Our employees were encouraged to dress up with the best costume prize being presented to our finance team who were The Addams Family! We also played games, had a bake sale and held a raffle for an overnight stay.

Today’s #FeatureFriday focuses on our construction of new build council housing at Wilson Avenue, Polmont. The works included the construction of three blocks of accommodation, comprising 21 one and two-bed flats, across a 3-storey block, with the further two blocks comprising a mixture of 7 one and two-bed terraced bungalows. This afternoon our recruitment team are attending Linwood High School’s Careers event! The team are enjoying speaking to pupils and parents about careers in construction.

Take a look at timelapse footage from our recent project to construct a new office pavilion within Annickbank Innovation Campus for North Ayrshire Council. The project comprised the construction of 350 sqm of modern, energy-efficient office space. The building is low carbon and energy efficient with an EPC rating of A+ and a Platinum sustainability label. Throughout this year, we have welcomed 21 new trainees and apprentices to our award-winning academy in a range of site and office-based roles. Our trainees will be attending college and university alongside their working with us where they will be able to learn and apply their knowledge in practical situations.
