📢 Heat Pump Stakeholder Group Meets at SERC's Zero Carbon Centre 🌱 We’re excited to share that the Heat Pump Stakeholder Group (HPSG) welcomed the Department for the Economy’s consultation on low-carbon heating in residential buildings. The meeting took place at South Eastern Regional College’s (SERC) new Zero Carbon Centre in Holywood on 10 October 2024. This consultation is a critical step toward decarbonising heating and replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy in Northern Ireland. Stephen McGreevy, Lead Business Manager at SERC, emphasized, “We are scheduling courses to develop a skilled workforce ready for the anticipated demand for heat pump technology.” The HPSG, comprising industry experts, plays a vital role in shaping policy to ensure a fair and just transition to a zero-carbon society. 📝 Have your say!
